A Day At a Time.

Hello dearies. As you begin the new week just live one day at a time.  We live in a fast paced world now where everything is almost instant.  While this is something good owing to the technological advancements we have made in such a short time, it also has cons on us all. The pressure of setting goals and achieving them can become a nightmare if not well handled and balanced. This is what leads to burn outs, depression and high blood pressure in most people. This is why even though it is necessary to set goals, plan ahead and all that, it is also important that we take them in piece meals by concentrating on what is necessary for now. The way you live your now cumulatively decides how your future will look like eventually. So this week, make your plans but live 'one day at a time.' Photo credit:lovethispic.com

Courage

Hello friends, Another weekend is here again. How did your week go? Let's consider the subject of Courage today. What does Courage mean? The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines courage as the mental or moral strength to venture, preserve, and withstand danger, fear or difficulty. Courage is that quality that helps us do something inspite of unfavorable conditions. Truly as you journey daily through life, you will or have already found out that there are a lot of things that will try to put fear in one's heart. There are challenges that when they happen, can literally shake one to his or her very foundation. There are also people to contend with. By that I mean popular opinions and ways of living that people around you have become accustomed to. Daring to be different from the accepted norm can really be a huge challenge. But if your life must count in this lifetime and you intend to leave a mark behind, you must swallow an overdose of courage.  Bei...

'Inbox Etiquette'

Hello friends. How has your week been? It's attitude Friday again and today we'll look at 'Inbox etiquettes.' With the advent of the social media came with the chat features that allows people on most social media platforms to have a one-on-one conversation with their friends or whoever it is that they want to converse with. While this is a very effective and nice way of getting to know people and have meaningful discussions with them, it has also been subjected to abuse. We have had people just barge into a total stranger's inbox without any courtesy and begin to ask for favors or ask very personal questions. Some have even taken it so far and have used it as a medium for fraud. Social media is a huge opportunity to meet and create very lasting and profitable relationships if we know how well to approach. So what is an Etiquette? Merriam Webster dictionary defines etiquette as the rules indicating proper and polite ways to behave. Inbox et...

Self Sabotage..

The most dangerous set of human beings to have around are people with low self esteem and  deep insecurity. People with such issues turn out to be quite problematic in life as they relate with others based on how they see themselves. A person who literally has no iota of love for himself/ herself is going to find it difficult to give genuine and wholehearted love to those around them. Emotionally unhealthy people can hardly give others peace and a sense of value in any kind of relationship.  In most cases you find out that they are mostly distrustful, manipulative, controlling and abusive ( both physical and verbal).  They treat people badly because they feel low themselves. They feel they are already lost and for that see no reason why they should show any sympathy or empathy to another human being.  If they don't seek for professional help, most end up as murderers and leave people who related with them in battered and shattered state of minds. ...

Using your Envy well.

Hi friends, how has your week been? Well thank God it's another weekend and a lot of us can finally rest after a busy week. We'll be looking at a character traits that is very common among people these days. It's the issue of envy. What exactly is Envy?  Meriam Webster diction defines envy as that painful and resentful awareness of the privilege enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage. Envy in the real sense is a negative emotion but how we respond to it determines what actions we take and the consequences that follow. Envy is like an alarm system on our inside that wakes us up to the things we wish we had but hadn't taken notice of or made much effort to achieve or haven't understood how to achieve it. This alarm always goes off the moment we see someone having that very thing we so much desire. Now according to Psychology Today, envy can be benign or malignant. What this means is that your envy can either drive yo...

In the event of extremely low level of glucose liver can convert protein and fat into glucose for use of the body that process is known as gluconeogenesis. 8. Fat metabolism. Life: The Distiller of Potentials into Products..

Crude oil as we all know when brought out from the womb of the earth is not useful to man in that state it is because it is UNREFINED. It's usefulness begins when it is subjected to a process known as fractional distillation where it is subjected to a heating process. When crude is passed through that process something interesting begins to happen.  At various temperatures, the crude oil releases a particular product with a specific characteristic and this goes on until the last of the products are released and the crude oil becomes 'used up'. Life is like that crude oil when drilled out of the earth. We come into this world like that, in our raw form full of potentials, but not good enough to be ' enjoyed' by mankind.  Then life itself puts us into that fractionating column and begins to use the 'heat' of challenges to distill us and bring out useful products at each unique temperature. The more we are refined by the heat, the more useful o...

Gratitude.

Hello friends, How has your week been?  Today let's look at the attitude of gratitude. Gratitude has been defined by the Merriam Webster dictionary as the feeling or state of appreciation or thankfulness. As human beings in our day to day dealings with other people whenever someone shows  us gratitude for whatever help we render to them, it triggers this good feelings within us and makes us want to do more for them. It's the same thing with life, each time we are grateful for whatever we have we tend to align with the forces that attract more good into our lives. We live in very trying times truth be told and the tendency to always focus on what we haven't gotten or acheived is always there but inspite of that, there is always something good going for us no matter how little. If we take time to consider it we will be grateful. Being thankful for life is one of the strongest antidote against depression.  There is always something to be thankful for. ...
