Life: The Distiller of Potentials into Products..

Crude oil as we all know when brought out from the womb of the earth is not useful to man in that state it is because it is UNREFINED.
It's usefulness begins when it is subjected to a process known as fractional distillation where it is subjected to a heating process.

When crude is passed through that process something interesting begins to happen.

At various temperatures, the crude oil releases a particular product with a specific characteristic and this goes on until the last of the products are released and the crude oil becomes 'used up'.

Life is like that crude oil when drilled out of the earth.

We come into this world like that, in our raw form full of potentials, but not good enough to be ' enjoyed' by mankind.

Then life itself puts us into that fractionating column and begins to use the 'heat' of challenges to distill us and bring out useful products at each unique temperature.

The more we are refined by the heat, the more useful our lives become because the heat keeps bringing out more of the good embedded in us.

We notice that the crude oil gets 'used up' or 'burnt up' in order to get those useful products.

So it with us too, the heat of challenges help to burn up the unwanted habits and attitudes that can become a stumbling block on our path to becoming a success.

So the question is ; will you allow life distill and refine you through and through or will you jump out when trying heat gets too much?

Will you truncate the process that is meant to take your potentials and turn them valuable and priceless products?

Or you'll stay through the process?

The Crisis of Identity.

When we went from placing value on what really matters to just external things humanity fell so hard and broke it's back. The impact of that fall is why we have so many people with low self esteem and terrible identity crises. Much more than failing economies, hunger, disease, widespread poverty is the crisis of the individual.  The crisis of seeking validation, of feeling some sort of worth and value. That inner questioning and probing that requires an answer. Sadly many people do not have the answer to that inner question. They then turn to things, all kinds of external things and invite them to come in and answer that inner man. Unfortunately the externals can't do so. They lack the capacity to answer those questions and the individual in a bid to either answer or silence that question seeks more of these externals and at every point they keep saying No, we don't have the answers. The individual is now confused, what do I do? Then he sights another human li...
