Be your own support system.

Yesterday i was just reflecting on how far I'd come in life, the pains, disappointments, the 'you don't look like you'll amount to anything' kind of attitude, the deliberate disregard for your efforts at making your life count and a whole lot of things.

One thing that made me glad was that in spite of all that, I made sure I protected myself because I realized that's all I've got really. I've showed up and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

God didn't need their permission to bring me here.

I'm glad I didn't give up, and that's why I'm here to tell you that in your journey to greatness you will encounter this.

It's the price you will have to pay.

Many won't believe in you or what you do.
Ignore them, keep going, don't look back.

If people choose to oppose you do not join them to oppose yourself.

If they choose to be your enemies don't join them to be your own enemy.

Love yourself. Love your life.

You're not breathing their oxygen, you're breathing yours, the one alloted to you.

So always remember that when the storms come, they will pass, don't pass away with it. Remain you. You will get there. Celebrate you. You're more than enough.

Most times in life we are faced with the pressure to compare the goings on in our lives with those of our peers especially. Succumbing to this pressure is one of the greatest source of stress and unhappiness in life. Life is a personal race and will always be that way, even your unique makeup and fingerprint attests to that. So if they buy the car before you then what? If they get married , get the job, contract, children, admission, houses or whatever it is before you then what? Does it stop your heart from beating or your lungs from taking in air? Allow people to move at their speed, if they are ready to overtake you let them and move at your own pace. Save yourself the stress of competition, you'll get there if you don't give up but just take your time.
