Are there consequences of not Adhering to Medical Instructions?

Hello friends and esteemed followers of this blog, how's been your day?

One of the most common challenge health workers face is that of getting patients to comply with treatment schedules and programs.
In this part of the world where I find myself, it's like a roller coaster situation on daily basis between the doctor, nurse or whichever medic is handling the case at hand and the patient.

Most people do not understand that when they go to see a doctor and their ailment is diagnosed and they are placed on any treatment schedule that they are supposed to follow it to the later. The reason why it has to be so is this, for every ailment, there is a prescribed mode of treatment and even the drugs given are already calculated to be able to bring releif to the sick within that stipulated time.
It is wisdom therefore to stick to the treatment till the end EXCEPT in situations where the situation gets out of hand then it can be discontinued.

Also if you feel you're not getting any better from the current treatment, don't just jump up and go initiate another treatment plan for yourself, it's advisable you go back to the doctor and explain how you don't feel  any better from the previous treatment and then from there he or she will  consider what next to do about your situation either by changing the drugs or
recommending that you go for further investigations.

Running from one doctor in the middle of a treatment to the next one without being patient enough to follow through will only complicate issues for you and even make your body become resistant to the drugs you're supposed to take .This attitude is one of the reasons we now have the global problem of antibiotics resistance on  our hands.

In conclusion we agree that there are abuses here and there where  some of the medics do not do their jobs well due to incompetence or sheer carelessness and as a result have jeopardized some lives, but that notwithstanding it's advisable to follow laid down rules and procedures because these are already scientifically proven things and they have a system of working which if interupted can lead to more serious issues. This is why it's is important that you patronize qualified mad competent medical personnel and outfits.

Wish you all a healthy and productive week ahead.
