The Place of Honor in Relationships.

'Give honor to whom honour is due' is one very popular saying that we are all familiar with.

But what exactly does it mean to give honour?

According to the Oxford Living dictionaries,
Honor as a verb is defined as having great respect for or give public respect for someone or something.

It also means to hold someone or something in high esteem may be based on their worth, value, accomplishments or position in life.

Honour is basically a thing of the mind.

It is how we view and accord importance to thet thingswe perceive as worthy of our respect which in turn reflects in the way we treat or handle such people or institutions we perceive as honorable.

Honour is earned, it is not something that is inherited.

Something has to be done or a feat achieved for you to command that respect from people.

When we know someone or a thing is Honorable what should be our attitude to it?

What do we stand to gain or lose when we honor or dishonor people?

We have already established the fact that honor is something that is given because of an accomplishment or an attainment in any aspect of life.

Now when you perceive that someone has by virtue of certain sacrifices in life have attained a position worthy of note it's important that great respect be given to such persons.

The reason for this is, showing respect for such people has a way of granting you easy access into the secrets and wisdom that accomplished that great task.

A wise man once said that ' honour is the key to access'.

So in our world today that tends to bring in a culture of trivilialzing people based on the fact that we are all equal,  it's important that we know and understand that although we are equal in creation, our sacrifices and the prices we are willing to pay naturally  separates us into cadres in life.

And so for the graces of such mighty works to flow to us, it's important that we learn to respect people generally.

Everyone in life has something unique and amazing to give, whether they are rich or poor.

We have heard stories of gatemen and gardeners grant people access to kings who eventually led to their positive change of story.

The take home lesson for today is have respect for people especially those whom you don't know, you never can tell  who's your angel in disguise.

Learn to honor people and great achievers , it has a way of flowing back into your life in ways you can't even begin to imagine.
