Lessons from a Blind Man.

Sometime back while going through my bible I came across a story on the encounter between a blind man named bartimeaus and Jesus Christ.

Going through the story I saw some amazing lessons that can be applied to everyday life and they are what I'm sharing below.

1. Blind Bartimeus just like every human being had a challenge, he was blind.

Bartimeus was blind but interestingly he wasn't deaf or dumb which means all hope wasn't lost.

This goes to show that no matter how bad your situation is, there is still something you have that can be useful to help get you out of your predicament.

2. He used his functional organs; his ears to hear about a solution to his problem, and when the opportunity came, that he heard Jesus was passing by, he used one of his other functional organs, his mouth to cry out for help.

3. The moment he began to cry out for help or a change of story those who had always known him with the predicament asked him to be quiet.

They told him, he wasn't qualified for any help, they reminded him that that was who he is and nothing was going to change that.

In life we always have such people, the moment you want to leave that bad gang, quit that procastination and mediocre lifestyle, they begin to mock you and tell how impossible it is  and how unworthy of a better life you are.

4. Bartimeaus was a phenomenal person, he knew what he wanted and was going to get it no matter what, so they more they tried to shut him up, thee more he cried out until he got Jesus' attention.

Whenever people try to shut you up with discouragement, make sure your voice of hope and believe in your greatness is louder than theirs so that the opportunity for your positive change can stop and look in your direction.

5. When Jesus heard him and stopped by, he asked him what he wanted and without hesitation, he said he wanted to have his sight restored.

Notice how specific he was about his request. He knew what he wanted out of life and he got it.

It's important that as you strive for a positive change of story, you should know exactly what it is you want out of life.

Being able to identify that important thing you need is key to getting your desires met when the opportunity presents itself.

Lastly always believe that you can get out of your current predicament as long a you don't give up.
