Have a grip on your emotions.

You know we get to pick several life lessons from everyday activities and this one I'm about to share happened to be one of such.

I happened to be in a public transport one day  goingto work and just a few minutes after we took off, one of the passengers suddenly started shouting that there was pepper eyes and angrily asked that anyone eating anything should stop because she believed that was the cause of the eye pain.

I suggested that maybe it was smoke from the silencer of the car, but she insisted that it was pepper.

I decided to do a quick survey of those in the car to see if really anyone was eating any thing but didn't really see anyone at least from my own observation.

Everyone simply ignored her and at the end she had to become quiet.

I began on think on that outburst she did. Yes she had something suddenly enter her eye and was causing some discomfort but did that warrant such behavior?

I believe it is important that as people we should learn to have a grip on our emotions.

Many atimes we go through discomfort but that doesn't warrant that we have such outbursts in the public and jump into conclusions about where our problems are coming from.

Sometimes when we cut ourselves some slack we would be surprised that what we thought was the issue surprisingly isn't.

Self control is a powerful virtue to cultivate. It would save us from unnecessary embarrassments especially in the public space.

People and situations would seek to provoke you but you must decide that you will exhibit self control at such times no matter how difficult.

Cheers.
