People's Opinion: should it matter to us or not?

Hello friends,

Happy new month y'all. It's December already! Wow! How time flies. I'm so excited! Christmas is by the corner.😁.
We give thanks to God for the gift of life.

Okay so today we'll be looking at something very common and which also has a profound effect on our lives.
It is people's opinion.

What is an opinion?

The Merriam Webster dictionary defines opinion as;

- A belief, judgement, view or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular thing.

- It also means a generally held view about a thing.

Man by nature is a social being which means he must interact and form relationships with people around him and this is perfectly okay.

But we must also understand that there is also a place for our individuality and uniqueness to find expression.

Sometimes in the midst of these interactions and relationships we tend to lose that uniqueness that is peculiar to each of us.

We pick up the general views of the groups and people we interact with and personalize them not minding whether they are for our personal good and progress or not.

There is really nothing wrong with imbibing certain opinions held by our various societies as long as they do not hamper our forward movement.

The problem begins when we begin to sacrifice our very essence of happiness and fulfilment on the altar of public opinion.

As an individual, always remember that your first loyalty is to your God-given dream because ultimately, in it lies your fulfilment in this life.

Are you one of those who care so much about what people say that you get scared of doing what will bring you happiness and fulfilment in life?

If you are, then my challenge to you is that as 2017 wraps up, you need to decide to step into 2018 with the mind that you will gather enough courage to not listen to opinions that will stop your progress.

It won't be easy though because most people prefer to stay with the crowd or herd mentality.

Trying to try to pull out so as to move forward will earn you heavy persecution.

But as you keep going and stick to your goals, in the end they'll form part of the crowd that will stand in ovation for your achievements.

So handle public opinion with a 'pinch of salt' most times.

Wish you a beautiful weekend.

Juvenile Diabetes.

Juvenile Diabetes seems like a strange word because that disease is usually associated with adults. But in this article we will look at what that really means.  Sometime last month i was chatting with a friend on issues of diet and she went on to tell me about her observation on how a lot of modern parents in a bid to make their kids feel good or pampered stuff them with all kinds of unhealthy snacks coated with so much sugar and unhealthy preservatives. I remember also reading an article few years back about how exercises were forcefully added to school curriculums in one of these advanced countries in the middle east as they observed lots of their children coming down with obesity and diabetes. These two scenarios prompted me to write this post especially for parents, to mind what their children eat. --------- ------------- ------------ ---------- ------------- What is Juvenile Diabetes?
